    Objectives

Due to the galloping growth of the desalination field to help supply water to an exploding active thirsty population, there has been a surge in the number of scientists and engineers involved in water desalting and wastewater reclamation.
Following this growth, there has been a flood of papers from scientists and engineers, academia, government and industry from all regions of the world recording results of work in the lab or from operation of plants flowing into the editorial office from about 100 countries.
This information needs to be disseminated promptly and widely to the expanding desalination and water community as it is constantly advancing and changing. It is often presented at conferences attended by few. Peer reviewed papers are conveyed through the journal. There is a need to extend the coverage to accommodate additional selected papers promptly. We are ready to meet this challenge with this new publication

The journal provides a focal point for “membranologists” and a vehicle for publication of significant contributions that advance the science and technology of membrane processes and phenomena. The primary emphasis is on the structure and function of non-biological membranes, but papers bridging the gap between non-biological and biological membranes are sought. A broad spectrum of papers is encouraged: theory of membrane transport; experimental data on membrane permeation; membrane structure; applications: separations, biomedical, packaging, membrane electrodes, membrane-bound enzymes, and biomembrane analogs.

    ·       REACTIVE AND FUNCTIONAL POLYMERS
An International Journal devoted to their Science and Technology
    Former title: Reactive Polymers

    ISSN: 1381-5148
    N. Tirelli, M. L. Turner (Editors-in-Chief)
    http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/502694/description#description

    1983 Volume 1

The Journal publishes papers dealing with new ideas and developments in the science and technology of polymers with functional groups providing chemical or physical reactivity. The scope covers inorganic and organic functional polymers, both solid and liquid, acting as reagents, catalysts, carriers of protecting groups, templates, ion-exchangers, selective sorbents, chelating agents, supports for enzymes and cells, and the like. It also includes reactive crosslinkable prepolymers, degradable polymers, polymer resists, conducting polymers, and film-forming polymers. Contributions may deal with synthesis of such polymers or with their applications in organic synthesis, catalysis, water or effluent treatment, separations, recovery, lithography, microelectronics, information storage, energy conversion, diagnostics, coating and encapsulation, and adhesion.
The Journal addresses two main audiences: those engaged in the synthesis of new materials and the development of novel techniques, and those concerned with technology and practical applications in the laboratory or plant. The Journal encourages, and serves as a forum for, the dialogue between these two groups.
Papers on a broad spectrum of topics are encouraged. Emphasis is on work at the frontiers of science or technology and furthering the interaction between researcher and practical engineer, rather than on details of theory or application. Full-length papers, short communications, and review articles will be considered. All material submitted must be original, that is, may not have been submitted elsewhere for publication.

Solar Energy, the official journal of the International Solar Energy Society, is devoted exclusively to the science and technology of solar energy applications. The Society was founded in 1954 and is now incorporated as a non-profit educational and scientific institution. With participation encompassing 100 countries, ISES® serves as a centre for information on research and development in solar energy utilisation. Through its publications and its sponsorship of technical conferences, the Society provides a world forum for the active consideration of solar energy.
Solar Energy welcomes manuscripts presenting information not previously published in journals on any aspect of solar energy research, development, application, measurement or policy. The term "solar energy" in this context includes the indirect uses such as wind energy and biomass. Because of the international character of Solar Energy, articles that deal solely with the solar radiation or wind data base of a specific country are not normally considered suitable for Solar Energy. Submitted manuscripts may take the form of reports of original studies or reviews of significant prior work in a given area. All manuscripts are subject to reviews to assure accuracy, clarity, and long-term value.
